SPARK Maboneng opened in January 2015 and is the third school in the SPARK Schools network. SPARK Maboneng is located in the Maboneng Precinct, an urban neighborhood on the east side of Johannesburg CBD whose name means “Place of Light.” SPARK Maboneng scholars will benefit from the SPARK Schools academic programme, core values, and enrichment opportunities. We look forward to welcoming new SPARK scholars and their families to Grades R, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 in 2018.
SPARK Maboneng will be moving to a new address in January 2018: 10 Beacon Road, New Doornfontein
Along with the five SPARK core values, SPARK Maboneng focuses on innovation, with scholars learning how to think about ways to make the world around them a better place. SPARK Maboneng scholars are also physically fit and highly creative, participating in enrichment activities, such as English tuition, Maths tuition, dance, soccer, Nutty Scientists, chess and drama.
SPARK Schools grow by a grade each year until we offer the full Grades R – 7 primary school offering.

“All you need is faith, trust and a little pixie dust”
Courage to me is doing something daring, no matter how afraid, insecure, intimidated, alone, unworthy, incapable, ridiculed or whatever other paralyzing emotion you might feel. Courage is taking action. No matter what. So you’re afraid? Be afraid. Be scared silly to the point you’re trembling and nauseous, but do it anyway!
When you focus on problems you will have more problems, when you focus on possibilities you will have more opportunities.
